"We Are One"

This piece of glass art, titled “We Are One,” is a mandala, which means circle in Sanskrit. An ancient, archetypal symbol of the universe, the circle represents wholeness, unity and harmony.  The center point, called a circumpunct, represents the self. The surrounding geometric shapes and colors, which have symbolic meaning to many of the world’s spiritual traditions, provide a pathway from our innermost selves to the universe and remind us that we are all connected. Serving as a compass to the self, the mandala is a tool for seeing into our hearts and souls—and a pathway to transformation and transcendent peace.

“Each person’s life is like a mandala – a vast, limitless circle.”  —Buddhist Nun Pema Chodron
