The last in my India series, using pattern bars and murrini, with the main design centered on the eight pointed star, depicting the entirety of the universe.
There are 36 slices in the star, symbolizing creativity, love, and humanitarianism - concerns with the well being of humanity and making the world a better place. The border is done with a second pattern bar creating a circular wave around the piece showing the connections and continuity in life and the hereafter.
There are 56 slices in the border. The number 56 represents teamwork, coexistence, relationships, family and all areas of critical importance now.
